Merry Christmas!

When the kids were small, our family learned a very important lesson from the mouth of Babes. It was the first part of December and we were decorating our home for Christmas. It had been a long day and I was focused on getting the job done. Our young son was very intent on finding something that seemed very important to him. He had so much around him, what could he possibly be looking for?

As time went by and after coaxing him several times to come join the party, his little head popped up from a large cardboard box he had been searching through. He was ELATED as he opened his tiny clenched hands and exclaimed…. “MOM I FOUND HIM!” And then he kissed His face. It was baby jesus, he tenderly embraced.

Shortly after, I noticed the nativities I had set up around the house were being rearranged with Jesus in the very center. Each figurine from the nativity was facing baby Jesus, just as it should be. This has been a profound lesson and has reminded us of the true meaning of the Christmas season, which is Jesus the Christ, the Prince of Peace, the Mighty God.

We love and honor Him.

How Grateful we are to Him and to all children everywhere who remind us how important it is to seek Jesus first and to rearrange our Christmas if we lose focus among the hustle and bustle of the season. Wisemen one sought Him and “WISE” men still do.
